« ‘Or Propos’, c’est enfin la réalisation d’un projet longuement en gestation : il y eût un temps pour l’interprétation, de découvertes en lectures. Il y eût des improvisations solos, improvisations sur images, compositions sur textes, créations de spectacles, rencontres danse - musique. Voici venu le temps d’écrire. Il s’agit d’aller puiser là où l’accès est le plus ténu. Toucher à cette voix. Tendre à la rencontre ultime. Celle de soi. » - Claire Cet album propose des enregistrements basés sur des improvisations dont les notes & la réécriture successives permirent à Claire d’affiner son propos. Les prises de son eurent lieu dans diverses églises de la Drôme française (pour explorer différentes acoustiques) durant une semaine de travail aussi intense que naturelle, pour finir par un concert étonnant en présence des gens de la région. Un premier album est souvent significatif d’une intention longtemps contenue. Capté par les micros, quelque chose de beau, de fort & d’indicible a donné naissance à ce ton si particulier. A Bruxelles, les phases de « dérushage » succédèrent aux réenregistrements de certaines parties en studio, prises de son en « couches » ainsi que de nouveaux arrangements et éditions diverses afin de compléter et enrichir certaines approches ; une coproduction artistique de Yves de Ghellinck et Johan Delforge avec Claire.

« ‘Or Propos’ is de verwezenlijking van een project waarmee ik een hele tijd bezig ben geweest: je hebt tijd nodig om dingen te interpreteren, te ontdekken en te lezen. Tijd die nodig is om te improviseren, beelden die je improvisatie sturen, composities gebaseerd op teksten uitwerken,voorstellingen maken, dans-muziekontmoetingen. Tot dan uiteindelijk de tijd rijp is om muziek te schrijven. Essentieel daarbij is dan om daar waar de toegang het moeilijkste is, toch door te zetten. Het is de ultieme confrontatie. Met jezelf. » - Claire Deze CD omvat opnames die voortvloeien uit improvisaties waarvan de composities en de opeenvolgende herwerkingen daarvan Claire toelaten haar doel te verfijnen. De geluidsopnames in verschillende kerken van de Drôme, een Franse regio die zich uitstrekt tussen de Alpen en de Provence, lieten toe met verschillende soorten akoestiek te spelen. De opnamemicrofoons hebben in dit geval iets mooi, sterk en onbenoembaar geregistreerd dat resulteert in een erg kenmerkende klank. Nadat sommige passages opnieuw werden opgenomen in de studio, werd in Brussel de klank ontdaan van overtollige ruis, gevolgd door extra geluidsopnames, evenals nieuwe arrangementen en verschillende versies om zo uiteindelijk het geheel te vervolledigen en verrijken.
