Songs from the river

With his sideprojects being kept a low profile, Tom Theuns had been taken a year advantage of this by navigating his M.S. Aurelia Feria (containing a concerthall) throughout Belgium and France. Staying for months on end on rivers like the Schelde, the Dender, The Meuse, The Oise and The Seine, he found himself eventually in a almost trance-like state.

From this solitude singing, playing guitar and giving concerts all along, these songs arose naturally, giving pure impressions of this adventure. Backed by a unique style of fingerpicking guitar, the songs are wandering selfconsciously on the roads of folk, blues, jazz and african music. A logical creative step after 20 years of collaborations with musicians from throughout the world.
