Tout est joli / All is pretty laughs at our ruins and wields irony, whether major or minor, handles rock and drums, blends philosophy, current events or literature, slices, grooves, bewilders, titillates, assembles all of this in a Long Play that will illuminate your record collection, your CD collection or your favorite playlist. It's haute couture, it's "heavy" as they say, but with a brazen lightness. We switch from English to French without the listener even noticing. The lyrics and music by Thierry Devillers are performed with high-quality, precise, just gritty enough vocals, played to perfection with a flow. The music arranged by the band - the wild drumsticks of Michel Debrulle, the warm metal strings of Nicolas Dechêne, the twirling and mischievous bow of Joachim Iannello - is constantly transforming. Rock, pop, progressive country, reggae, all with a very British elegance... This album is a serious whimsy, a playful polaroid that suggests that not everything has been said in pop grammar. The group will even dip the diamond into the grooves of Friedrich Nietzsche's Gay Science who, not hiding his enthusiasm, reflected: "if you are lost and annoyed by current music, I recommend this Walloon band that has been active for 30 years, and this particular opus that contains more true ideas than all the works of German philosophy combined." »
