OakTree est un trio de musique acoustique explorant l'association atypique de la voix, du violoncelle et de l'accordéon. Une aventure tout en couleurs, en textures et en surprises, nourrie de jazz, de chanson et de folklore. Une musique affranchie et poétique emmenée par trois funambules généreux qui font danser l'imaginaire du public! Après un premier album intimiste et aventureux, oscillant entre compositions et improvisations libres, "well" propose des compositions originales à l'exception d'une reprise de Sam Cooke. L'écriture d'OakTree se mêle à celles de leurs invités Michel Massot (trombone, tubas), Tcha Limberger (violon, voix) et Kristof Hiriart (voix, percussions), choisis pour leur approche, la spontanéité, le langage singulier et la Vie de leur musique. La rencontre est magique et riche à plus d'un égard! Bousculé, le trio explore d'autres horizons, ose de nouveaux choix et offre ainsi une musique plus ancrée et plus investie tout en lyrisme.

OakTree is an acoustic music trio, exploring the unusual combination of voice, cello and accordion; an adventure into sound colour and texture, full of surprises, nourished by jazz, folk and chanson. A poetic and unbound music brought alive by three generous tightrope walkers transporting their listeners to the land of dream and dance! After a first album in 2012, intimate and adventurous, oscillating between composition and free improvisation, "well" presents all original compositions, except of a Sam Cooke's cover. OakTree’s compositions are interwoven with those of their guest musicians Michel Massot (trombone & tubas), Tcha Limberger (violin & voice) and Kristof Hiriart (voice & percussion) approached for the originality of their musical idiom, their spontaneity and the life in their music. The encounter is magical and rich in many ways! Stimulated, the trio explores new horizons and offers a music that is more grounded and engaged, while remaining lyrical at all times.

OakTree is een akoestisch muziek trio dat de ongewone combinatie van zang, cello en accordeon exploreert; een avontuur in klankkleur en textuur, vol verrassingen, gevoed door jazz, folk en chanson. Poëtische en ongebonden muziek wordt gebracht door 3 genereuze koorddansers die de verbeelding van hun luisteraars laat dromen en dansen. Na een eerste avontuurlijk en intimistisch album in 2012, dat golft tussen compositie en vrije improvisatie, stelt "well" eigen composities voor met uitzondering van een Sam Cooke-cover. De composities van OakTree zijn verweven met die van hun gastmuzikanten Michel Massot (trombone en tuba), Tcha Limberger (viool en zang) en Kristof Hiriart (zang en percussie); die aangesproken werden omwille van hun spontaneïteit, hun visie en de energie in hun muziek. De samenwerking is magisch en verrijkend! Gestimuleerd en geïnspireerd, verkent het trio nieuwe horizonten en laat op die manier gefundeerde en geëngageerde muziek horen die op elk moment lyrisch blijft.
