POINT D’ISSUE est le troisième album publié par Tout est joli/All is pretty. Ce titre est volontairement ambigu ; en français, ‘point’ signifie la négation, mais aussi, comme en anglais, le lieu. C’est un titre interactif : chacun est libre de l’entendre à sa façon. Il s’agit d’un recueil de treize chansons écrites et composées par Thierry Devillers, arrangées par Michel Debrulle et Benoist Eil. POINT D’ISSUE n’est pas un concept album, mais relève de l’intelligent cut-up, et ces chansons sont autant de citations qui sont elles-mêmes autant d’incitations à la mémoire et à la veille. Car POINT D’ISSUE s’inspire aussi du vers célèbre de Hölderlin : Wo aber Gefahr ist, wächst - Das Rettende auch, « Mais où croît le péril, croît aussi le salut ».

POINT D’ISSUE is the third album released by Tout est joli/All is pretty. This title is purposely ambiguous: in French ‘point’ signifies negation, but also, like in English, place. It’s an interactive title: everybody is free to interpret it in their own way. It is a collection of thirteen original songs written and composed by Thierry Devillers, and arranged by Michel Debrulle and Benoist Eil. POINT D’ISSUE is not a concept album but an intelligent cut-up and these songs are just as much reference points in themselves as ways to evoke memories and yesteryear. POINT D’ISSUE is also inspired by Hölderlin’s famous verse: Wo aber Gefahr ist, wächst - Das Rettende auch, “Wherever there is danger, there is rescue”.

POINT D’ISSUE is reeds hun derde album. Deze titel is gewild ambigu; ‘point’ betekent in het Frans ‘niet’ maar ook – net zoals in het Engels – een ‘plaats’. Het is een interactieve titel: iedereen is vrij om hem te interpreteren zoals hij/zij wil. Het album bevat dertien liedjes. Ze zijn geschreven en gecomponeerd door Thierry Devillers, gearrangeerd door Michel Debrulle en Benoist Eil. POINT D’ISSUE is geen ‘concept album’, maar een ‘intelligente cut-up’; de liedjes zijn eveneens citaties die het geheugen en de waakzaamheid willen stimuleren. Want POINT D’ISSUE is ook geïnspireerd door het beroemde vers van Hölderlin: ‘Wo aber Gefahr ist, wächst – Das Rettende auch’ (“Maar waar gevaar ist, groeit ook het reddende”).
