Amorroma (folk). Pour les Cathares, " Amor" (amour) et" Roma" (force, pouvoir) étaient en opposition. En associant ces deux mots, les musiciens créent un espace de tension où ils vont situer leur musique. Ils puisent leur inspiration dans les traditions françaises, suédoises, bretonnes, balkaniques, galiciennes, irlandaises ou autres... Créé en 1996, Zefiro Torna (musique ancienne) fait revivre tout un héritage culturel de façon unique, avec un grand respect pour le passé. Authenticité et créativité. Tantôt thématiques, tantôt très conceptuelles ou expérimentales, leurs productions témoignent toujours d'une inspiration intense. Depuis 2001, Traces (jazz) s'aventure aux confins des musiques traditionnelles et du jazz, empruntant à ces musiques ce qu'elles contiennent d'essentiel : l'harmonie. Le répertoire se balade entre compositions originales et airs traditionnels européens revisités, le tout dans un esprit de liberté d'interprétation et d'improvisation propre au jazz.

Amorroma (folk). For the mediaeval Cathares, AMOR (love) was the opposite of ROMA (Rome), as a symbol for power and oppression. The combinations of these words creates a tension between good and bad, happy and sad, longing and content, progressive and conservative, peaceful and vehement,... It's in all these interactions that they situate their music. The Flemish ensemble Zefiro Torna was founded in 1996, and brings the cultural heritage to life in a unique fashion, departing from a deep respect for the past. Authenticity is combined with creativity. They incorporate literature, theatre and contemporary or ethnic music in their productions. At times thematic, at other times strongly conceptual or experimental, always showing a strong sense of inspiration. Traces is experimenting with fusioning jazz, classical and world music. Free interpretation and improvisation, own compositions and European traditionals, oriental influences. Strong melodies and enchanting rhythms.

Amorroma (folk). Voor de Katharen waren Amor (liefde) en Roma (macht) tegengestelden. Door deze twee woorden samen te voegen, willen de muzikanten een spanningsveld creëren waarbinnen ze hun muziek situeren. Hun muziek die geworteld is in Franse, Balkan-, Zweedse, Bretoense, Galicische, Ierse en andere tradities. Zefiro Torna brengt het culturele erfgoed op unieke wijze terug tot leven vertrekkende vanuit een diep respect voor het verleden. Authenticiteit en creativiteit. In hun programma's verwerken ze literatuur, theater, hedendaagse of etnische muziek. Deze zijn nu eens thematisch dan weer sterk conceptueel of experimenteel en getuigen steeds van een intense bezieling. Traces met composities die zich situeren in het grensgebied tussen traditionele muziek en jazz, de essentie van deze muziekstijlen behoudend, namelijk harmonie.
