It is common knowledge that Brazil has also many other kinds of music to offer than only the carnival sambas or the bossa novas. Besides the unbelievable richness of it’s traditional music, this country also gave birth to exceptional artists as Caito Marcondes. Being a percussionist and a composer, he wrote music for the unusual setting of a trombone, a string quartet and his own percussion. His music is inspired by contemporary music as well as by the deep Brazilian tradition, partially well structured, partially improvised. Sensuality and lyricism mix with passionate and sparkling rhythms in always contrasting moods. Improvisation, an important part of the whole, converts every concert of Caito Marcondes & Passarim in a unique experience.
