An album presenting us with the treasures of the repertoire of French oral tradition (Belgium, France, Quebec). It’s world music!
Florence Laloy and Christine Lurquin are singing in monody, polyphony a cappella or in quartet with Luc PILARTZ (violins) and Osvaldo Hernandez-NAPOLES (percussion). They have invited Chris Joris on percussion, who was a part of the original quartet formula.
This second album contains songs that accompanied daily life and delight us today with their melody and with what they tell us about life and death, sorrow and happiness.

The songs have been shaped along with time and on the way, the singers will add their personal grain or grain of voices.
This duo allows great freedom, playing with melody, drones and timber of voices. Sometimes the songs will not remain unchanged. Nor will the singers ! This album contains traditional songs and compositions.
