Estelle Bourgeois
Estelle is an explorer. Estelle is a colorist. She dares, she soothes. Estelle is intuitive. She sings on a trapezoid. She puts her voice and something happens. Immediately. We are already so far, balanced with the right posture. She puts her guitar, her keyboard, her sounds, her yukulele and then her choir and one second after we become Fanny Bullock, Pjileas Fogg or Mary Jackson. Even better, we become Elest Lunar (name of her very first album, recorded on her own in Amazonia, in the middle of nowhere, which is a real jewel). Estelle is an artist who embraced imperfection in order to offer a deeply sincere and spontaneous music. With a clear and subtle voice, indulging in sober and celestial arrangements (her anagram), she falls within a line of elusive artists such as Ute Lemper or Kate Bush. Her journey started with an act of courage, namely by sharing her imperfect universe. Her mantra ; #etunjouronsenfoutetcestgai ("and one day we don't care anymore, and that is joyful") perfectly reflects her mindset.
For the new season, Estelle will illuminate writings authored by poets from the Cité Ardente. We can say that you will hear from her soon.
Anmoor
Our label welcomes outstanding artists. Pauline Oreins and Léo Lecoq, whose talent and creativity are in the heart of their project ; Anmoor
Pauline Oreins is an accordionist, pianist and Belgian composer, trained in the most notable European institutions. Award-winner of many competitions, she performed on prestigious stages and now explores more personal musical territories, while combining different artistic disciplines.
Léo Lecoq, double bassist, received a rigorous training at CRR Lyon and Haute École de la Musique in Geneva. His varied journey brought him to play with great chefs, while exploring genres such as rock, world music and as songwriter. He plays double bass as no one.
Together, they form Anmoor, a duo that redefines past melodies to create an intimate and contemporary music. Anmoor searches in musical traditions to offer a unique musical journey, where each note and chord reach the stars.
The new season promises to be vibrant.
Constanza Guzmán
Constanza Guzmàn is a Chilean author-composer and singer, settled in Belgium. She currently leads the project Elikia (meaning "hope" in Lingala), a multi-disciplinary creation to be between Belgium and Kinshasa, in which our label homerecords.be is taking part. This project, entirely feminine, merges music, danse, and theater with the purpose to make women raise their voice. We are capturing the essence of this project through recordings and videos, in order to produce an album that will be featured in next year's catalog, as well as a full-length documentary. The result of the meeting between Congolese and Belgian women will be a first-rate testimony.
Throughout the evening, Constanza will present a few of her personal compositions, reflecting her own weaver journey between modern Fado and latin walk, on which sits her golden coffee-ish voice. Three words ; elegance, mastery and contagious smiles.
Paola Di Bella
Paola is a dancer and performer who primarily expresses herself through voice and movement. Her songs are "musical acts": spontaneous and free to embody a specific musical genre (you will find pieces that have a taste of blues, pop, experimental, theatrical, jazz, avant-garde folk). The common thread in all of Paola's music is that it is born from a performative intuition, a game, a scenario, a flirtation with the audience and with herself.
Through her performances, Paola brings her audience in a world where nothing is off-limits ; danse, theater, caustic humour relying on improbability.
Here is her new project "Pocket Poney The Genesis", an artistic performance where music, spectacle and Contemporary Cabaret jubilantly meet. Paola explores her own Sicilian and Italian origins and shares in a very personal way her new compositions.
Modern and determined; she sings in dialect with a fierce willingness to share to the world the infinite richness of her island's culture. "Travel far, learn, transform to survive where humans are".
Louise O'sman
Honoured by the exceptional presence of Louise O'sman, we will remain at summer time. An artist with multiform talent, she conquered the musical scene with her ornamented accordion playing and her unique voice sounding similar to Barbara and Anne Sylvestre. Her songs are about a sentimental variation between childhood, resistance and hope. Her performance is about a vertigo between nostalgia and happiness, sadness and hope or truth and dreams... Philippe Delhumeau - Lagrandeparade.fr
At the age of 6, Louise started her musical journey with accordion, first exploring the classical repertoire before turning to world music. In 2019, she worked with our label homerecords.be for the creation of her first album "Joyeuse Ville", a work that captivated the audience with its rich sound and poetic deepness. This project, arranged by Pierre Slinckx and Gwenaël Mario Grisi, marked a turning point in her career, opening the doors to national and international scenes.
Throughout the evening, Louise O'sman will offer a unique performance in which she will trade her accordion for a banjo, a looper, and percussions. This approach promises to offer a new dimension to her already existing musical universe. Moreover, with Nicolas Dechene, guitarist and double bassist of "Tout est Joli / All is Pretty", another talent from homerecords.be, they will together fuse to create a unique musical experience.
Soledad Kalza & Sina Kienou
Atlanti-Kaw, the duo's second album of Soledad Kalza and SIna Kienou. This project is a delicate musical meeting and a cry of rage and love for the spirits buried into the seas. It is a new language, singing between the Caribbean and West Africa, merging traditional and modern sounds. Like children voices who come far, who come and go between the Sambre and the path where Mamadou runs. Moments that sting our joy where we think it is extinguished.
Soledad, Belgian singer and flutist with Argentinian origins and Sina, singer and musician from Burkina Faso, accompanies Soledad's deep and creamy voice with his mandigo guitar.
Actually available on pre-sale on Ulule, Antlanti-Kaw will premiere at homerecords.be's 20th anniversary, with live played tracks by the duo. Their music, intimate and universal celebrates diversity. We invite you to support this outstanding project by visiting their crowdfunding page.
CHARNEUX, LELEUX, PUMA Trio
Aurélie Charneux who plays clarinet and improvises like no one, limitless, fearless, comes back with new compositions and two of her furious acolytes : Nicolas Puma (double bass) and Simon Leleux (percussions). Their music is an invitation to bivouac through an imaginary world where the sounds meet and chat without limits. A show full of slaps and benevolence, which convinces and takes the wildlife that remains at the tram stop, then distributes it as many bananas as insolence.
On the 12th of October, Stephan Pougin will replace Simon Leleux with percussions.
