“Here is a wonderful discovery: the universe of Bernard L’hoir, pianist and composer, who creates, surrounded by a remarkable group of musicians, an absolutely singular universe, of an unclassifiable genre. This is excellent music, simply, neither jazz, nor classical, nor world, and if we needed to state names this artist should be assembled with Ludovico Einaudi or Keith Jarrett, not in piano solo but in instrumental formation: creating his own musical world, this is Bernard L’hoir’s music, simply.

The artist is accompanied by the excellent Juan Carlos Mellado Tejon, guitarist trained in classical music and recipient of numerous prizes, as well as the subtle accordionist Raquel Gigot, who accompany him in this intensely poetic voyage. “A classy blues” evokes a symphonic work, by its power and lyricism; whilst listening to it vast horizons open… “Oscar’s Naïad”, full of creativity and inventions, invokes choirs which add a touch of mystery… “Lunatic” convokes electronic music, but as a touch, not as the body, for example to make us hear clouds… And the album carries us thus from one surprise to another…

The album was mixed at Real World Studios, in England, created by Peter Gabriel, which is also a mark of musical quality. A beautiful nugget, full of discretion and nuances…”
